Putting the customers’ requirements first by providing personalized experience
In collaboration with SAS, Türk Telekom has completed an analytics platform modernization project. Turkey’s leading company of communication and convergence technologies used SAS Viya to optimize 300 analytical models and enabling them to be managed on a single platform.
Data analytics is becoming increasingly popular in banking, insurance, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, e-commerce, the public sector, and telecommunications. In these sectors, data flow and personalized customer experiences are important. Companies that invest in data analytics and artificial intelligence (AI) can react quicker to changing market trends and evolving customer requirements.
Following the completion of analytics platform modernization project, Türk Telekom can now execute planned workflows related to customer analytics, marketing optimization, and risk modelling using the SAS Viya platform. Multi-stakeholder business units can work on a single interface, mostly through drag-and-drop interactions. Being able to use the same platform across business units and technical teams, while provisioning a common environment, help to avoid confusion in analytics workflows and increase efficiency. SAS Viya delivers a flexible analytics layout for the Turkish operator while offering R, Python, and Lua open-source support. With its cloud-friendly structure, SAS Viya enables business units to perform different analytical operations on the same platform.
Maximum efficiency by optimising existing models
340 Türk Telekom employees were trained on SAS Viya. These are existing SAS Enterprise Guide users who will also be using the new platform. Following the completion of the training, the teams started using the new 110 analytical models that went live. As part of the same training program, marketing models that were managed on different platforms were transferred to SAS Viya. A further 113 models on the existing system were moved to SAS Viya.
Thanks to the user-friendliness of SAS Viya, approximately 60 models were rapidly optimized for individual and corporate customer models. The intelligent automation, AI, and machine learning capabilities of the new platform identified marketing strategies capable of meeting today’s customer expectations while also increasing the efficiency of customer loss analysis models at Türk Telekom.
