The project we carried out with SAS and SADE Software has significantly increased our operational efficiency by digitalising our internal audit processes. This strategic partnership not only allowed us to achive greater efficiency through optimization, but also enabled us to make data-driven decisions. With the powerful SAS Viya platforms , we are able to identify risks in internal audit more effectively. Transformation in Internal Audit Processes
Borusan uses the SAS Viya 4.0 platform for faster and more efficient data analysis in their internal audit processes. The internal audit team connects to the source systems with SAS Viya and determines the audit results in line with the specified rules. While the solution provides continuous monitoring in audit processes, it also offers the opportunity to look at the audit findings in depth through the dashboards within the Visual Analytics. This enables auditors to identify improvement areas faster.
Gaining Efficiency and Speed
Data collection and data processing processes carried out by Borusan's internal audit team have been automated and accelerated with SAS Viya. By processing data quickly, internal auditors are able to identify risks and inefficiencies and react to potential problems more quickly. In addition, the audit team can make more accurate and timely decisions by leveraging visual analytics tools for deeper process insights. Customer feedback highlights that this digitalization enhances efficiency and simplifies internal audit processes.
Internal Audit Processes of the Future
Borusan plans to integrate artificial intelligence-supported systems into its internal audits processes by developing a supervised machine learning model on the audit platform for certain internal audit and cases with enhanced risk. This model will allow for more effective risk detection, integration with the SAS Visual Investigator to create an investigation process, as well as inclusion of new subsidiaries in the project.
