Email subject line A/B testing

(SAS CI360 Engage: Email)

Features

  • Email A/B subject line testing gives marketers more control over testing configurations.
  • Select the test duration (from two to 48 hours).
  • Customize the recommended sample size based on modifying the baseline conversion rate, confidence interval and threshold, lift, and/or minimum detectable difference.
  • If needed, restore settings back to the tenant’s defaults.

Benefit

  • Provides users with greater control and flexibility in conducting A/B subject line testing, allowing for more precise and tailored test configurations.

New: Bulk Custom Task types

Features

  • SAS Customer Intelligence 360 connector framework allows customers to easily integrate with external systems to further use and enhance the SAS Customer Intelligence orchestration capabilities.
  • Customers can now create Custom Tasks, enabling marketers to send data in bulk directly from SAS Customer Intelligence 360 to any destination.
  • The Custom Task framework provides a straightforward, intuitive experience for creating tasks across owned channels and third-party integrations.
  • Admins generate Custom Task Types as templates, and marketers use these to extend and streamline task generation and orchestration for users.
  • Similar to all other tasks, when using a Custom Task, marketers select the data, define sending parameters, and map fields in outbound data, with the option to personalize with merge tags and set desired metrics.  

Benefit

  • Configurable and user-friendly tasks enable seamless bulk integration with any destination, eliminating the need for extensive technical knowledge.
  • Marketers can concentrate on campaign specifics without considering the technical complexities.
  • Custom Tasks replace the need to:
    • Run Direct Marketing Tasks followed by External System Tasks in Activities.
    • Insert an arbitrary Wait Node to an Activity map for segment membership upload into the cloud.
    • Execute a Direct Marketing Task and generate an export file for import into another destination.
  • Customize your bulk custom types with a variety of icons and colors.

Mobile SDK updates

Features

  • In today's digitally connected environment, smartphones are typically online, with offline usage becoming increasingly rare. The purpose of offline data collection is not to gather information when users are offline but to address brief interruptions in connectivity.
  • Previously, storing offline events for extended periods could lead to complications, especially when mixing outdated sessions with current ones.
  • Offline events are now collected for a maximum of one hour, ensuring they are promptly sent before online events.  

Benefits

  • By limiting offline event retention to one hour, complications associated with mixing outdated and current sessions are minimized.  

Activity Maps: Attribute usage improvement

Features

  • Merge tags can now incorporate event attributes from the Trigger Event directly within an Activity Map. You are no longer required to add the same Trigger Event both on the Targeting tab of a task and within the Activity Map containing the task.
  • For Email Tasks, this support is limited to merge tags in an HTML creative placed in an email content block.

Benefits

  • This update streamlines the process of setting up Activity Maps by reducing steps.
  • By removing the need for an arbitrary Wait Node, the timing issues associated with the first triggered task are avoided.  
Note:
  • This enhancement is applicable only to activities that start with a Trigger Event.

  • Includes the capability to define a connection type as either inbound or outbound.
