What you need to know
- The SAS Hackathon is for developers, students, startup businesses, SAS customers and technology partners.
- A team consists of two to ten members and any combination of roles.
- Teams can comprise people within your organization, your organization and a technology partner, or individuals looking to join a group.
- Technology partners can create teams with customers and students.
- The issue can be a customer’s problem.
- Customers who work with a technology partner can also be working toward a partnership that leads to a new market together.
- Teams are responsible for finding and using their data.
- Teams own their intellectual property (IP).
- Each team will have their own SAS Viya environment. (Note: If the same company/group/organization has more than 1 team participating, all the teams from that same company/group/organization will use the same environment).
- Each Team member to accept the criteria (SAS Hackathon | Terms & Conditions) for registration.
- A team leader approves who is on their team.
- The SAS Mentor will load the team members email to the environment.
- SAS CloudOps will provide Real Time Access List for each SAS Hackathon Viya environment (this would be the users and admin list in the Engage Catalog site and could be accessed at any time by the SAS Mentor).
- The approved, participating teams load their own data according to SAS Hackathon | Terms & Conditions guidelines.
- All resources and data will be automatically decommissioned and deleted by the SAS CloudOps at the expiration date of the SAS Hackathon Viya environment.
