SAS Talent Connection
UK & Republic of Ireland
Our Talent Connection Program facilitates easy connections between higher education students and companies using SAS.
We bridge the Data Analytics and AI skills gap by linking SAS-skilled students with SAS customers and employers of SAS talent.
SAS customers looking to employ graduates with SAS expertise are introduced to universities teaching SAS content in subjects such as statistics, programming, marketing analytics, data mining, and machine learning.
SAS Talent Connection is a SAS initiative, specifically of the SAS Global Academic Programme and the SAS Education and SAS Customer Advisory divisions, as well as our local SAS Partners.
University of Wolverhampton Hosts Data Science & AI Networking Event
Partnering with SAS Talent Connection, the University welcomed 100+ students to network with AI and data science experts.
How SAS helps students and our customers
We provide two primary avenues for connecting student talent with SAS customers
SAS Talent Connection days
Hosted either by our partner universities or by a SAS customer, SAS Talent Connection days are held quarterly, and are onsite and in-person. A concentrated programme of short talks and company presentations is followed by informal student introductions to SAS customers.
Personal referrals
Based on prior communication and referrals from a SAS Academic Programme manager, or from university lecturers at SAS partner universities.
In 2024 successful SAS Talent Connection days were hosted by
Surrey Business School | Bradford School of Management | Wolverhampton University
SAS customers who participated were, amongst others:
Nationwide Building Society | Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) | His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC)
A selection of universities and colleges that teach SAS as part of their coursework (please note, this is not the full list).
The SAS Academic Specialisation is a distinction granted by SAS to Universities and other higher education institutions that incorporate SAS into their curriculum, requiring a minimum of 150 hours of SAS-related instruction. More information can be found here.
