SAS named one of Best Places to Work for Recent Grads

Analytics leader again recognized for culture, career development opportunities for young professionals

For the third consecutive year, SAS has been named as a Best Place to Work for Recent Grads. SAS is one of just 25 employers across the nation recognized for its inspiring and welcoming environment, particularly suited to new graduates entering the workforce.

Symplicity Corporation conducted the survey, which ranked companies according to Glassdoor ratings, work-life balance, compensation, benefits, company culture and professional development.

“SAS is committed to helping employees thrive at all stages of their careers,” said Kayla Woitkowski, SAS Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition. “For our newly graduated employees, we provide a variety of training and assimilation programs designed to set them up for successful careers and help ease the transition from college to the workplace.”

Especially appealing to young professionals are the full-time training programs, such as the SAS® academies. The academies provide intensive in-class and on-the-job training to ensure that recent grads are set for success as they move into their full-time roles. A Young Professionals group on the internal web fosters a sense of community in the early stages of their career; and development opportunities, such as the Emerging Leaders program, foster career growth.

Additionally, SAS’ commitment to providing meaningful work is a continual draw for all job seekers. For four decades, SAS has been using analytics to change the world – from fighting cancer to helping address the Zika virus, protecting endangered species and changing the lives of Ghana women by teaching them how to code software.

“Using data for good in their daily job functions to make a difference in the world is gratifying for our employees,” said Woitkowski. “Providing meaningful work gives our folks added purpose and increased job satisfaction.”

SAS’ campus benefits, such as a free on-site recreation and fitness center, subsidized cafeterias, free on-site health care center and more, also appeal to recent grads and help create work-life balance. These benefits, along with the career development opportunities available to recent grads, demonstrate SAS’ commitment to its young workers.

Other companies recognized alongside SAS on the list include Allstate, Cardinal Health, Geico, Hyland, Protiviti and SAP.

SAS is widely recognized as a pioneer in workplace culture. SAS ranked No. 2 on the Great Places to Work World's Best Multinational Workplaces list last year. The company is a high-ranking staple on Fortune magazine’s list of Best Companies to Work For in the US. SAS is listed among the top workplaces in Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Poland, Portugal and the United Kingdom. SAS has been named a best workplace for millennials, working parents, women and single fathers. SAS not only invests in employee career development, but also health and well-being through an array of services, programs and benefits.
