Meg Schaeffer

Global Health Advisor, Epidemiologist, SAS

Dr. Meg Schaeffer, EdD, MPH, MPA is an infectious disease epidemiologist and Global Health Advisor at SAS. Dr. Schaeffer spent over 20 years working in government on outbreaks from botulism to Influenza A (H1N1) and SARS-CoV2. She is a former professor, published author, triathlete, and community advocate. Her focus at SAS is on Public Health Modernization within government.


Lisa Lucas

National Healthcare Informatics Director, SAS

Dr. Lisa Lucas is currently the National Director of Healthcare Informatics at SAS and serves as Faculty at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, and Wake Forest University in North Carolina, teaching Health Information Management and Healthcare Informatics.

Lucas holds a Bachelor of Science degree from George Mason University, dual master’s degrees in Business Administration and Healthcare Management, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from American Sentinel University in Colorado. In addition she holds certifications in Nursing informatics, a Certified Professional in Health Information Management from HIMSS, and a Certified Nurse Educator.
