About the experts

Speaker 1

Cristina Anton

Analytical Training Consultant, SAS

Cristina delivers public and custom courses and workshops on topics ranging from programming to data mining and data ethics. Cristina has been an avid SAS user for almost 20 years and has extensive experience in programming, data wrangling and advanced analytics.

Prior to joining SAS, she worked as a programmer and analyst in the health care industry, managing projects and working alongside a team of data scientists to deliver complex analysis of clinical trials data. She holds an MS in statistics from the University of Toronto.

Tom Grant

Principal Analytical Training Consultant, SAS

Tom holds a Master of Science degree in Operations Research from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to joining SAS in 2000, he worked in the accounting department of a national furniture retailer and developed statistical models to predict inventory losses. He was also manager of the Marketing Analytics Group for a retail clothing catalog company, in charge of building predictive response and lifetime value models.

Since joining SAS, Tom has worked as a consultant, assisting SAS customers with the implementation of analytic projects in various industries, including banking, retail services, insurance, manufacturing and website analysis. He also teaches master's-level data science courses at an HBCU in North Carolina.

For the SAS Global Academic Program, Tom currently assists higher education institutions in the effective use of SAS.
