    SAS and NVIDIA: Using deep learning and computer vision for faster, more accurate insights

    WildTrack, a wildlife monitoring nonprofit, focuses on the development and application of non-invasive and community-friendly techniques for monitoring endangered species over five continents. Their footprint identification technique (FIT), using SAS® software, is able to identify species, individuals, sex and age-class from footprint images alone with greater than 90% accuracy.

    To more quickly filter and classify the large volume of images being collected through crowdsourcing, WildTrack is exploring computer vision capabilities from SAS, which run on NVIDIA GPUs.

    SAS and NVIDIA work better together for WildTrack and the endangered species that are being protected.
