SAS ranks as one of America’s Best Employers for Women by Forbes
Forbes magazine has again deemed workplace culture champion SAS as one of America’s Best Employers for Women. As a leader in AI and analytics, SAS understands the importance of attracting, retaining and motivating women – who currently represent more than one-third of its global workforce including management and executive positions.
“Workplace diversity, equity and inclusion is more important than ever to drive innovation,” said Danielle Pavliv, SAS Chief Diversity Officer. “Even in our early days, women made up nearly half of SAS’ workforce in an industry dominated by men and they remain critical to our business growth. Our inclusive culture and commitment to employees – and their families – are part of the reason why we continue to attract, develop, and retain top women employees.”
With programs such as the Women’s Initiatives Network and Women in Analytics Network, SAS hosts a variety of opportunities for career development and professional engagement. Additionally, SAS is committed to providing meaningful work to inspire its workforce, including the opportunity to develop software that helps solve critical humanitarian issues, from mental health and education access to conservation and climate change.
SAS has set the workplace culture standard that promotes an environment for employees to balance their careers and personal lives. In addition to on-site amenities such as a free recreation and fitness center, a health care center and a full-service pharmacy, SAS also provides virtual offerings to offer employees support ranging from career development to mental health and physical and social well-being.
The Forbes list was compiled by surveying 60,000 Americans, including more than 40,000 women, working for businesses with at least 1,000 employees. The rankings accounted for representation at the executive and board levels, as well as general work topics and initiatives especially relevant to women.
A constant on numerous workplace rankings, SAS has also received distinctions as a top place to work for millennials, parents and for diversity and technology.
