Colin Gray
Principal Consultant
Today, analytics and data drive the world economy. Analytically-minded and data-driven organisations are thriving, through the use of advanced analytics to deliver massive return on investment.
As a data scientist at SAS, Colin Gray’s role is to work with clients to provide new and exciting analytical solutions to their specific problems. His particular focus is on the use of analytics to detect and prevent fraud and crime.
Colin started his working life training to be an actuary. Since moving to SAS, he has focused on the detection of fraud and crime across industry sectors. This remains a specialty, and he notes that no two customers ever have exactly the same problems or requirements. It is this that keeps him interested, and makes his job exhilarating and worthwhile, as he finds ways to address their problems.
