SAS Singapore clinches “HR Asia’s Best Companies To Work For in Asia 2021” Award

SAS in Thailand also named as a winner

SAS Institute in Singapore has won HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2021 Award in its 4th consecutive win. The company has also received HR Asia’s WeCare Most Caring Companies Award along with this win, for the 2nd consecutive year. SAS in Thailand was also named as a winner of this prestigious award.

HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards recognise companies that have shown world-class employee engagement and workplace excellence, while displaying demonstrable empathy and care for their employees.

The award covers twelve markets across the region including mainland China, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Korea, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam making this the largest survey in the region for employee engagement.  This year, 14,964 employees from 206 Singaporean companies responded to the HR Asia survey.

Employees rate their employers using the proprietary Total Engagement Assessment Model (TEAM) survey, which covers collective consciousness, workplace sentiment, and team dynamics and measures employee engagement in real time.

SAS was also specifically selected as a winner of the WeCare award, based on their exemplary score from the TEAM survey assessment.

Lim Hsin Yin, Managing Director SAS Singapore, said: “It is a real honour to win both awards. At SAS Institute, we are proud of the culture of innovation, creativity and curiosity that has resulted in a work environment that keeps our employees engaged and inspired.

“We believe that a positive work environment driven by a supportive leadership is key to motivating our employees. We encourage teamwork and innovation, empowering our employees as well as recognising and rewarding performance. It has been especially important during the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic to create an environment and culture that inspires and engages our people.

“Despite working remotely during the past year, we have continued to stay connected with employees to ensure their mental and physical well-being and growth.  We have officially adopted a hybrid working arrangement in line with the new way of working, while building a culture of trust and flexibility. We are committed to fostering a family-friendly and creative environment where employees are encouraged to reinvent with new ideas and be innovative,” she added.
