AI solutions are designed to enhance human efforts – not replace them. With deep learning, given enough data, a computer can be trained to perform human-like tasks such as identifying footprint images and recognizing patterns in a similar way to indigenous trackers - but with the added ability to apply these concepts at a much larger scale and more rapid pace. Analytics really underpins the whole thing, potentially giving insights into species populations that WildTrack never had before.

The WildTrack Footprint Identification Technique (FIT) is a tool for non-invasive monitoring of endangered species through digital images of footprints. Measurements from these images are analyzed by customized mathematical models that help to identify the species, individual, sex and age-class. AI could add the ability to adapt through progressive learning algorithms and tell an even more complete story.

The documentation process was also simple and straight forward. Once I finished with documentation I went to meet my team with my “Buddy Angel”! It was actually a pleasant surprise to find out everything was ready for me on the very first day and my accesses were in place. I started going through policies and found SAS has numerous employee-friendly policies. Soon our director arranged an introduction meeting with the entire team. I am an active runner and I love to run long distances. Thanks to the health and fitness culture as well as work-life balance that we have in SAS, I can focus on my fitness goals, which keeps me at peace throughout my day at work.
I was a part of the SAS football team and the training really helped me discover my passion for running. I also appreciate the wellness endeavors at SAS Pune, which encourage employees to consider their health issues on priority. I recall the enthusiasm from our participants who came for Body Composition Analysis Camp, the Orthopedic Consultation Camp, Yoga Sessions, and several other initiatives related to fitness. I have seen the transition in our people who have experienced it in the last few years. It’s contagious and I am happy to see it growing at SAS.

I am very much delighted to receive various awards as recognition of my contribution to the organization and they are very special moments for me. The most interesting as well challenging part of my job is to be involved in multiple projects simultaneously. It is interesting because different customers have different perspectives and as technology vendors, we need to provide them the solution using the same technology platforms. The aspect I like in my job that we leverage SAS risk solutions and convert them into successful return on investment for the customers. I think in my role being accountable is the most important value because as a solution advisor we are the people responsible for customer success and all these success stories are important to secure the future of SAS.

All the values are important but curious is more important as it’s related to our work in analytics for innovation, finding the patterns and use cases. Moving from an individual contributor to the leadership role is a tough choice. However, if you have made up your mind, nothing can stop you from changing the gears and venturing into a challenging career path. After having spent quite a few years as an individual contributor, I decided to move into a leadership role. As a new manager, I have boarded on a new journey of my career. There have been bumpy roads on the way. But, definitely, it has been an interesting journey so far. I would like to thank my peers, seniors, and above all my team members who have supported me all the time!

I couldn’t have felt more welcomed anywhere else. Everything right from scheduling the interview to the allocation of the company guesthouse and reimbursement of my relocation expenses was organized and taken good care of, ensuring that I had a very pleasant beginning. The guesthouse was clean and hygienic with good amenities. Most importantly it was close to the office, sparing me the trouble of traveling in a new city. My colleagues helped me with finding permanent accommodation. Overall, my transition from Mumbai to Pune was smooth.

When somebody welcomes you with the rose and chocolates, how do you feel? Important, Valued, Cared? Yes, that is what I felt when I joined SAS. I received a warm welcome from HR when I joined. The documentation process was also simple and straight forward. Once I finished with documentation I went to meet my team with my “Buddy Angel”! It was actually a pleasant surprise to find out everything was ready for me on the very first day and my accesses were in place. I started going through policies and found SAS has numerous employee-friendly policies. Soon our director arranged an introduction meeting with the entire team. And at last, I would like to say, SAS is the coolest company I have ever worked with!
