The Analytics Research & Development team's mission is to contribute to developing a SAS Viya platform that offers packaged solutions for every data and analytics need and for every use case. The Analytics Research & Development team focuses on the development of the Analytics associated part of the SAS Viya platform and helps accomplish the mission through:

• Developing SAS Visual Forecasting Software, which helps generate large numbers of trustworthy forecasts quickly and automatically using time series and machine learning techniques. 
• Developing SAS Visual Data Mining and Machine Learning software that helps solve the most complex analytical problems with a single, integrated, collaborative solution – with its own automated modeling API.
• Developing SAS procedures that help customers address their various statistical and analytical needs through simple, reliable offerings.

Technical Publications
The Technical Publications team designs and develops information that describes the capabilities of SAS software and shows how to use the software to achieve business goals. 

• Contributing to the quality of SAS software products by collaborating on UX design and system messages. 
• Practicing single-sourcing publishing by using an XML-based content management system and produces deliverables in various formats such as PDF and HTML. 
• Following company guidelines such as those for Global English, Customer-Focused Writing, and Accessibility to provide a consistent experience for all customers. 
• With seamless and effective collaboration, this team engages with product development teams to contribute to overall software quality and customer satisfaction.

At Data Management and Platform services, we primarily focus on core technologies of SAS. We are responsible for developing building blocks for data management through product and component ownership in Unified Data Layer, Data Exploration, Data Import and Data Transformations.

• This area helps our customers to connect to the data, explore the data, and import it within SAS Viya environment and while doing data is also transformed as the need of the analysis to be conducted. We also build those data transformation as a part of our SAS Studio product.
• Primary technology that is used in data management is full stack development that primarily focuses on Go, ReactJS, JavaScript, Playwright, Python, Java, Cloud, and SAS Viya Platform.
• In the Viya4 architecture, platform services lie at the foundation level and are responsible for providing necessary services to all the products and solutions of SAS.
• Teams own many of the core services in this area as well as they contribute other non-functional requirements of SAS Viya4 software such as multitenancy, backup recovery, migration etc. This is highly technologically savvy area focusing on technologies of Kubernetes, Cloud, Go, Python, Java, SAS Viya Platform etc.

We (Risk R&D Team in SRDI) play a pivotal role in Risk product development right from conceptualization to delivery and support.

We contribute to the building of the SAAS( software as a service ) solution in the Customer Intelligence Solution space. We have two offerings  SAS Customer Intelligence 360 & SAS Marketing Decisioning 

• We are responsible for full product development of these solution areas solving customer problems in the targeting space and the decisioning space.
• Our portfolio for CI360 currently includes Planning, Integrations, and Technical Infrastructure work & the full product of Decisioning.

In Pune, we develop and maintain the Analytics for IoT product suite, and Energy Forecasting for Cloud. AIoT is a platform to analyze, forecast, and optimize the quality, operations, and production in a manufacturing facility. Energy Forecasting solution can be used to forecast load and generation, in traditional power setting, or renewable facilities.

• Underlying platforms are SAS Viya, and AppFactory for Cloud.
• UI is created using React library.
• We have created Java and Go based microservices
• Advanced analytics code is written in SAS and/or Python
• Sensor Data can be analyzed in real time using ESP engine.

CIS is a global organization with a mission to provide exceptional and consistent IT & Hosting services to our SAS employees and customers. The CIS Pune is organized and staffed to mirror CIS’s global service structure which includes SAS Cloud (Our Managed Application Services), IaaS, Information Security, Enterprise Technologies, and Employee Technologies. 

• CIS has built a new 24x7x365 Global Operations Center in Pune to centralize the delivery of operational support to our internal and external customers.  
• The new operations center will focus on proactive monitoring and management of our Managed Application Services for our global SAS customers in addition to reactive incident and event management.

Professional Services Competency Center (PSCC) help clients get the most value from their investment in SAS products and solutions; and thus, improve customer experience with SAS. 

PSCC provides consulting services to SAS customers across the globe in for Fraud Management, Anti Money Laundering, Customer Intelligence, Demand Planning, Viya Platform, Data Management (Data Integration, ETL, BI, DQ), and Analytics for clients in verticals like Banking, Insurance, Retail, Healthcare etc.

Project Management

Project management supports the R&D portfolio (including the Lines of Business) to help them continuously analyse and improve how they develop and deliver better value to our customers, faster and with agility.  

This includes the planning, monitoring, execution, controlling, and measurement of all associated product activities. In addition, our focus is on Security, Quality, Performance, Operational Efficiency, and Widespread Agile Adoption & Best Practices through continuous mentoring and coaching.

User Experience Design

The User Experience Design (UXD) team provides design expertise to envision SAS software User Experience and Accessibility towards various product teams at SAS. 

• The methodology includes, conducting user research studies, prototyping the business capabilities, producing detailed UI design specifications, and ensuring consistency within interfaces of a multi-application solution suite of SAS. 
• UXD also involves in creating and maintaining Usability standards, through its gathered best practices and cutting-edge design standards. T
• his is carried out with a strong emphasis on factors like, human cognition, error control, display issues and visual interaction, with a focus on task and objective analysis.
