SAS Talent Connection
Czech Republic and Slovakia
Our Talent Connection Program facilitates easy connections between higher education students and companies using SAS.
Talent Connection in Czech Republic and Slovakia:
Bridging the Gap Between Emerging Talent and Industry Leaders
We are building a platform that bridges the gap between:
- Companies: Primarily in banking, insurance, the public sector, and technology/consulting sectors, who are utilizing SAS technologies and seeking professionals with SAS expertise.
- Higher Education Institutions: Offering courses in SAS-related subjects such as statistics, programming, marketing analytics, data mining, and machine learning, along with their students.
This initiative is in collaboration with SAS, specifically its Academic Programs, Education, and Customer Advisory departments, as well as our local partners.
How We Can Help You
We offer personalized support for enhancing your LinkedIn profile and guidance on selecting e-learning courses from SAS Skill Builder for Students that can significantly boost your job search.
Connecting Students with SAS Customers and Partners
We provide two primary avenues for connecting students with SAS customers and partners:
- SAS Talent Connection Events: In collaboration with local partners, these annual events offer a 3-hour face-to-face meeting with SAS customers.
- Personal Referrals: Based on prior communication and referrals from SAS educators at universities where SAS is taught.
A selection of universities and colleges that teach SAS as part of their coursework (please note, this is not the full list).
The SAS Academic Specialisation is a distinction granted by SAS to Universities and other higher education institutions that incorporate SAS into their curriculum, requiring a minimum of 150 hours of SAS-related instruction. More information can be found here.

Why to consider joining SAS Talent Connection?
Lívia Krajčíková
Graduate of University of Economics in Bratislava, Faculty of Economic Informatic
I am very glad that I took the plunge and joined the program, because it not only gave me a lot of experience, but also helped me to find a job as a Junior SAS Developer. The whole programme was very enjoyable: during the first meeting at SAS I learned a lot of new interesting information about the work of data analysts and data scientists.
Thanks to e-learning on SAS Skill Builder for Students I gained a lot of knowledge about working with SAS, and even the final meeting with the companies was great, nice and friendly. Apart from my new job, I also got information about job positions and found out what I still need to focus on in my final year of university in order to meet the requirements that are in demand in practice today.

Thanks to the SAS Talent Connection Program you have the opportunity to improve your skills in SAS, but especially to meet companies for which SAS is the main or complementary working tool. These companies are hiring not only analytical, but also more technical IT positions, and they are looking for people who already have some experience of SAS.
If interested, you will also get support with setting up and completing your personal LinkedIn profile. This allows you to be approached with a relevant job offer even by a company that has not been involved in the Program at all. What's more, the SAS Talent Connection Program is free; all you have to invest is a little of your free time.

VUB Bank participated in the SAS Talent Connection Program for the second year in a row, along with my colleagues Ľubomír Boďa and Martin Podhajský. Once again, it was an outstanding experience. Meeting such talented students was incredible—their enthusiasm and determination truly inspired us. It's heartening to see how events like these bridge the gap between talent and opportunity. These invaluable experiences contribute to growth and progress for all involved.
A heartfelt thank you to Katarina Krausova and Pavol Zavodny for your dedication and for organizing such a fantastic event. We eagerly anticipate next year's SAS Talent Connection Program!
