11:00 – 12:00 | Intro, Keynote, and What's New in SAS Global Academic Programs Kick off the week with an introduction to all things new and exciting in SAS Global Academic Programs, and a keynote talk about data ethics, its importance in analytics education, and how SAS plays a role.

12:00 – 12:30 | Transitioning to Viya 4 As we update and improve our Viya for Learners platform, hear about some of the changes, what to expect, and what you need to know to transition to the new platform. |
13:00 – 13:40 | Introduction to Academic Resources, Partnerships, and Specializations An overview of the many resources provided by the SAS Global Academic Programs team. |
13:40 – 14:00 | The Value of SAS Certification Hear from Matt Scicchitano, Manager, Education, about SAS Certification, the value it provides, and how to incorporate certification into your curriculum. |
11:00 – 11:30 | Getting Started: Building Curriculum with SAS Interested in incorporating SAS into your curriculum but not sure where to start? This session will introduce you to the resources and support provided by the SAS Global Academic Programs team. |
11:30 – 12:30 | SAS Education in Practice: Diversity & the Future of AI and Analytics A discussion about diversity and the future of AI and analytics with a panel of our SAS HBCU+ Fellows. |
13:00 – 13:30 | Applied Learning Opportunities & Data Competitions Did you know SAS provides many applied learning opportunities for students to get hands-on experience? This session will provide an overview of SAS-hosted events like Curiosity Cup and SAS Hackathon, as well as examples of other games, competitions, and hackathons that are used by our academic partners. |
13:30 – 14:30 | (Spanish) Ethics in AI & the Future of Analytics in LATAM This session will be presented in Spanish and will cover key topics in AI and analytics education in Latin America. |
11:00 – 11:30 | Getting Started: Data Storytelling in SAS Visual Analytics Data is meaningless without effective communication. This session will provide a crash course in data communication and show the ease of using SAS to create compelling visual stories. |
11:30 – 12:30 | SAS Education in Practice: Educator Award Winners This panel discussion with recipients of our 2024 SAS Educator Awards will cover methods, opportunities, and best practices in incorporating SAS into curriculum and across campus. |
13:00 – 14:00 | Large Language Models & AI Large Language Models (LLMs) can be remarkably useful tools given the right set of circumstances and present a unique opportunity to influence the future of AI and the next generation of data talent.

11:30 – 12:30 | Responsible Innovation & Trustworthy AI Responsible innovation requires us to ask not only “could we,” but also “should we?” This session will introduce the importance of trust and responsibility in AI, analytics, and innovation, and provide a “sneak peek” at upcoming modules from the full Responsible Innovation and Trustworthy AI course. |
13:00 – 13:30 | Skills Disruption in Analytics Careers Learn about how skills have changed – and continue to do so – in analytics careers. |
13:30 – 14:30 | Industry & Talent Connections Panel This panel will invite industry partners to discuss their experience in hiring data talent. Topics will include trends in analytics careers, challenges faced, and critical skills for students entering the workforce. |
