INTRODUCTION
The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD) regulates and implements environmental laws in Abu Dhabi to protect biodiversity. EAD started as a small group of pioneering ecologists in 1996 and the organisation has grown considerably, breaking barriers and pushing the boundaries of science and conservation. EAD is now one of the largest environmental regulators in the Middle East and an integral part of The Government of Abu Dhabi, which aims to become one of the top five highest-performing governments in the world. This requires a huge effort and EAD needs to be able to organise its large volume of environmental data, manage it effectively and analyse it to advice on the measures and approaches required to ensure sustainable development. SAS has helped it to analyse, summarize and disseminate environmental data and information on different platforms in a simple and user-friendly manner.
