What We Now Know About Measuring Learning Loss and Learning Recovery

U.S. assessments of student learning loss during pandemic-driven school closures have shocked parents and educators alike. Before districts and states can develop learning recovery initiatives and deploy new government funding and resources, they need to use their data to understand where the impact of the pandemic was greatest and which students were most affected. Equipped with this information, states, districts and schools can then determine what interventions are needed and where to direct resources to support recovery and future success. This paper explores how states are doing this already using SAS analytics solutions - and the kinds of results they are already achieving.
