Open Source Synergies and Collaboration with SAS in Life Sciences
We have seen recent investment in companies on open source, including technologies and up-skilling of resources. Common narrative is to compare proprietary analytics platforms, like SAS, with open source. In the life sciences industry, the open source analytics tool of choice is R for statistical programming with its community and vast domain specific libraries.
In this 45’ roundtable we will explore examples in the life sciences industry where systems using both SAS and R are working together and taking advantage of the benefits of both platforms and their respective communities. In this roundtable, customers from the life sciences sector share their experiences.
With:
- Federica Citterio, Data Scientist Global Technology Practice, SAS
- Antonio de Castro, Senior Industry Consultant Health Care & Life Sciences, SAS
- Jean Casini, Manager Global Accounts Management, SAS
