SAS Contracting guidance under SKI 02.06
Software licenses can be granted for annual periods (in 12-month increments).
The scope of delivery should be fixed at the time of contracting. (with any optional or future upgrades or additional purchases, subject to a mutual agreement).
License periods should be fixed at the time of contracting (and should not include termination for convenience under the licensing agreement).
License fees are payable annually upon commencement of the applicable annual license period, with Services prepaid, except for ad-hoc consulting, which may be paid for monthly in arrears.
